Your Yearly Coverage Tune-Up in Union City
An annual Medicare plan review in Union City, NJ takes about half an hour and can save you hundreds of dollars. Plans change every year, and so do your health and your medicines.
Each fall we look at what your current plan will do next year and compare it with other plans we offer. When the current one still wins, our advice is to stay put.

We do not offer every plan available in your area. Any information we provide is limited to those plans we do offer in your area. Please contact Medicare.gov or 1-800-MEDICARE to get information on all of your options.
Why Plans Change Every Year
Insurance companies can change premiums, copays, drug lists and provider networks each January. A doctor may leave the network, or a drug may move to a higher tier.
Each September, your insurer must send a letter spelling out what changes in January. Many people never open it. We read it with you and point out what matters.
What We Check
- Whether each doctor and hospital you use remains in the network come January
- The tier and price for every medicine on your list
- Monthly cost, the deductible and the cap on your spending
- Your pharmacy and whether it stays preferred
- Extras you use, such as dental or rides
We also ask what changed for you this year. A new diagnosis, a move or a new prescription can change which plan fits best.
Key Dates
Autumn sign-up opens October 15 and closes December 7, with new coverage taking over on the first of the year. Part C members also get a single do-over between New Year's Day and the end of March.
Starting your review in early October gives you time to think before the deadline.
Next Year's Numbers
This year you will not pay more than $2,100 on covered drugs, and Part B runs $202.90 monthly. Looking ahead, Medicare has published the 2027 figures: a $2,400 drug spending ceiling and a maximum drug deductible of $700. We explain how these changes may affect your budget.
If You Do Nothing
If you take no action, most plans renew automatically. That is fine when the plan still suits you. It is costly when it does not. A quick review removes the guesswork.
If money is tight, we also check whether you may qualify for help paying for Medicare, which can change which plan fits best. People who take several medicines should also see our Part D drug plan guide.
